Announcements

Used Refrigerator needed:  Youth group needs one to take place of the pop machine.  See Pastor Andrew.

Mondays:  Men's prayer group 7:30am at Brickhouse in Monroe

Men's Monthly Meeting 4th Tuesdays:  Men's Wild at Heart (SMC) 7pm.  Aug. 24th
DC4K:  Meets on Thursdays, 6:30pm to 8:30pm in the Student Ministries Center.  Starts Thursday, August 26th.

September 5th:  Food Pantry Sunday

September 6th:  Labor Day.  Office closed.  Daycare closed.

September 8th:  Beginning of new Wednesday Night - Ladies' Bible Study.  Sign-up in the lobby.

September 12th:  Small groups begin.  "God's Answers to Life's Difficult Questions", Rick Warren.  Sign up in lobby starting August 29th.

September 16th:  Forget-Me-Nots lunch.

Area Reservation Froms:  Available in the lobby or church office to prevent conflicts in scheduling of different areas of the building.  After completing the form and returning it to the church office, Nancy Krick, office manager, will let you know if the date and area you want is available.

AA:Discussion Closed group will meet on Fridays, 5-6 PM, in the left sanctuary classroom.  The first meeting is this Friday, August 28th.  Contact Steve Bird for more details.

Weekend-On-Call Pastor:  Call 724-2893 from Friday afternoon to Sunday evening.


Free Community-Wide simple meal served each Wednesday from 5 to 6 PM at First United Methodist Church fellowship hall (handicap accessible) 5th and Monroe Sts. (724-3158).
SCRIP:  A way for major retailers to give to ROCK Youth.  Fundraising program that works while you shop.  Stop by the Scrip Table to purchase your tickets.  Submit and pay for your Scrip by 12:25 PM each Sunday; pick up order the following Sunday.
